These rules must be followed if you plan on joining and posting on this site. I strongly believe in 'three strikes and your out' so if I have to speak with anyone more than three times, if they break any of the rules mentioned, then they will be deleted from the site. No exceptions.
1) Before you start doing anything on this site, you MUST read over all of the rules in this board. If you have a problem with any of them, or if you have any questions ask before you sumit a character. They are simple rules, so most people should have no difficulty following them.
2) You cannot post anywhere on the site other than specified boards until your profile and example RPG post has been accepted. If your character is not accepted, or still pending, and you post in an IC area, your post will be deleted and your character will not be accepted.
3) You must create a character profile. Before posting one to be looked over, you must look at what information must and can be included in the profile. Once you have your character information thought up, and everything is amazing and just how you want it, then you must post it in the Pending Character Profile board. Once you have completed this, you have to wait patiently for someone to get back to you about your profile; whether or not it has been accepted or has to be fixed up. The Admin and all MODs reserve the right to decline a profile with an explanation as to how come.
4) Once you have posted your profile and it is in the process of being looked over, you should move on over to the Talent Example board and write out a post dealing with your character. It has to be several paragraphs long and comply with all the RPG Rules and Formats shown on this site.
Don't worry about this. Everyone has to do it and most posts will be just fine. This is just a way to wean out the people who may not be as serious about joining the site as the rest of you. Basically, make a post dealing with anything: your arrival, going for a walk, having an arguement with your dead-mothers ghost. This is a chance for you to show your creativity and to get warmed up while waiting for you profile to be dealt with.
If you have an incredible Character Profile but either choose not to post on the Talent Example board, or have a horrible post, then your character will not be accepted. You will have to fix up your beginners post and wait again for us to go over it.
5) You can make as many characters as you like. Having said that, I suggest working and playing with a single character and seeing if having more than one is possible for you. Everyone has their own real life (excluding me) and have other responsibilities to take care of and deal with. If you want two characters but have to deal with a huge course load at school and work part-time, take some time to see the demands involved with this site and to see how much time you are able to be on-line as your character.
6) Probably one of the most strict rules of this site is absolutely NO GOD-MODing. For those of you who have no clue what I am yelling about, simply put, it means you cannot control any others players character. You cannot kill them without permission from both the player and the Admin. You cannot make actions for them, or have them make-out with you unless initiated by said player or agreed to before hand. (If you have more than one character you obviously can control both.)
The point of this board is to interact and role-play with other people. It is not for you to control all actions of everyone surrounding you, and basically, acting like GOD and making your character the supreme powerful being.
7) When posting, you cannot post a single line or paragraph. This is a site for adults and for serious RPers only. You will warned if you continue to post too little, and we ask that you make each post at least four paragraphs long (not including conversation)
This may seem crazy but when you create a character you love and get involved in the Rp world of this site you will find that four paragraphs isn't nearly enough to get all the important information across in a single post. Trust me. You can do it!
8 ) This is an adult site. This series of books deals with death, violence and sex. So, this site will also deal with all of these things but only in a tasteful way. This does not mean that you can practise writing your erotica on these boards; all sexual post mosts be tasteful. As well, if your character is going to be using harsh language then you most fore-warn readers at athe beginning of your post in (()):
((Harsh Language in this post..turn bakc now!!))
This lets people who are not interested in reading about sex or violence leave your post and look somewhere else.
9) This is a community of different people from different places. There is absolutely NO tolerance for racist slurs, sexist comment, or anything degrating being posted or linked to. Anyone who breaks this rule ONE time will be banned from the site, and all messages from them will be deleted. I have no tolerance for this. Don't even try it.
10) No Spam. You cannot post links to other sites or sources when writing anywhere on this board. If you have an advertisement to your own site or one that you love, post it in the appropriate Advertisement board. Any links posted anywhere on the site (unless to your personal image or page about your character) will be deleted, and you will be warned.
11) The MODs and Admin reserve the right to remove your sorry a$$ from the board if you break any of these rules. It does not mean that you can come back and write evil posts to us, claiming we are infringing on your freedom of speech. This rule states clearly that if you break any of these rules, we have the right to ban you from this board and delete all of you post.
Hopefully, this won't happen but if it does, we have given you ample warning.
